I don't think it shows, but I wrote this song in phases, which is unusual for me. I had the first verse for ages, which I thought had something, but it felt a little bit throw-away.

Oliver Talkes showed me a jazzy chord shape which helped give it a bit more impetus, and eventually it all fell into place. I asked Jim to play something a little bit whimsical on the violin, kind of like how he played with Borough Lovers.

This is probably the happiest sounding song on the album, but maybe the saddest.
